Oakfield, a Derbyshire candle maker, was Trentside's very first client. After most of a year, its owner retired and closed the business. The account is now Closed, and its full history is kept.
What's happened
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| 13 months ago | Priya opened Trentside's first account. Rebecca, the owner, set up her login. |
| 12½ months ago | The account went live, and the opening stock arrived in Oakfield's own van. |
| 4 months ago | Rebecca decided to retire. Priya started offboarding, with a last trading day a month later. |
| 3 months ago | On Rebecca's written instruction, Helen recorded the destruction of the remaining stock, with a certificate number. With the final invoice settled, Priya closed the account, and Rebecca's login ended with it. |
Try it yourself
- Open Clients → Oakfield Candle Co. A closed account is read-only: Warehouse may shows ordering, receiving and dispatch all stopped.
- Read the history: a client's whole life with you, from opening to closing.
- Open Inventory → Inventory Items and look at Oakfield's stock. Every line is written off, with the destruction note and certificate number.
Why it matters to you
When a client leaves, you still need proof of what happened to its stock. Stockist keeps the whole record, and makes sure nobody works on the account by mistake.
Trentside Logistics, its people and its clients are made up for this demo. Every login uses the password password.
