Northern Thread Co.

Northern Thread is your biggest client: a Manchester streetwear brand whose Portuguese mill has sent you a year of deliveries. It's live and busy. In fact, its latest delivery is being unloaded at door 1 right now.

What's happened

When What happened
A year ago Tom opened the account and invited Ellie, the founder, to manage it from her side.
11 months ago The first big delivery arrived: 3,700 tees, hoodies and accessories.
7 months ago Two invoices went 60 days overdue, so Mark in Finance put the account on hold. Two weeks later they paid, and the hold was lifted.
5 months ago One carton arrived soaked through. Its 40 tees were set aside as damaged and written off against a credit from the supplier.
6½ weeks ago A courier turned up with samples nobody had told you about. Jamie booked them in anyway, and Tom matched them to an order the next day.
3 weeks ago A delivery came in short: 120 of 300 beanies. The mill had run out of yarn, so Tom closed the order.
2 weeks ago Chloe's weekly stock count found one pick face empty and another two items short.
Recently Ellie added a contact, invited her colleague Kyle and promoted him to admin, all without calling Trentside. Tom agreed a later dispatch cut-off for Christmas, starting next month.
Today INB-000023 is being unloaded at door 1. One scan went wrong and was undone.

Try it yourself

  1. Open Clients → Northern Thread. Read the history from the top: a whole year of the relationship on one page, including the hold. Notice which entries are marked Internal: the client never sees those.
  2. On the same page, look at How we handle your stock. The new Christmas cut-off is already scheduled, so you can see what changes and when.
  3. Open Inbound → Inbound Shipments and find INB-000023, the delivery at the dock right now. Then find INB-000016, the surprise delivery that was matched to an order afterwards.
  4. Open Inbound → Purchase Orders and find NT-PO-1003, closed with the reason for the missing beanies.
  5. Open Inventory → Inventory Items and look for Northern Thread's written-off tees and the empty pick face.
  6. Sign in as Ellie (ellie@northernthread.example, password password). She sees only her own company, and can add contacts and invite her team herself.

Why it matters to you

You can see a whole client relationship, including the money conversations, on one page. When things go wrong at the dock, there's a record everyone can trust. And your clients look after their own logins and contacts, which saves your team the calls.

Trentside Logistics, its people and its clients are made up for this demo. Every login uses the password password.
